Becky Scherbring

As the Operations & Client Support Specialist at District Capital Management, I love watching our clients’ success and financial growth. Having been interested in personal finance from an early age, I received a Bachelor’s degree in Finance at the University of Northern Iowa. During my husband’s 20-year military career, which took us all around the country, I held various jobs centered on finance and serving people, including investment analyst, mortgage broker, and Realtor.

I found the most joy in volunteering to teach personal finance classes at churches that we’ve attended. Working at DCM allows me to continue fulfilling my passion for helping individuals and families improve their financial situation through knowledge, rather than selling investment products.

My husband and I and our three kids live on an acreage in northwest Iowa and love everything outdoors. We enjoy hiking, kayaking, camping, boating, gardening, and caring for our dog, cats, chickens, and horses. I find solace in our quiet daily life, but I’ve also been “bitten by the travel bug” and endeavor to see as many parts of this amazing planet as possible!

My Why

I’ve always been passionate about helping people take control of their finances. Early in our marriage, my husband and I worked through debt using Dave Ramsey’s approach, which inspired me to host financial classes for adults and teens. Again and again, I heard people say, “I wish I had known this twenty years ago.” That stuck with me.

At District Capital, I get to support a team that’s making that kind of difference every day, offering real financial guidance without pushing unnecessary products. It’s meaningful work that aligns with my values and purpose.
