Senior Financial Planner

After graduating college in 2007, I had no idea what I wanted to do with my career. Once I had my first child in 2009, I learned of an opportunity to volunteer for a non-profit organization helping military members and their families with budgeting and basic financial assistance. I jumped at the opportunity to try something new, learned I loved it, and this started my career trajectory.

Since then, I have worked as a financial counselor and educator and then moved on to financial planning as I gained experience and earned my designations. In 2021, I started working for District Capital Management, fulfilling my goal of being a fee-only financial planner.

I love developing financial plans that look at the overall picture, and not just one singular topic. I find figuring out how taxes, investments, retirement planning and all other financial aspects fit into a puzzle of someone’s life really interesting and fulfilling. Helping clients meet their goals and being there with them every step of the way is why I do this job, and why I continue to love it.

I value honesty, authenticity, and work ethic. I value the opportunities we all have to grow and learn in all aspects of life.
