Before scheduling a call, we encourage you to learn more about what we offer by reviewing our services. We specialize in ongoing, comprehensive financial planning – a proactive, relationship-based service that helps professionals in their 30s and 40s maximize their money and reach their goals.

We’re fee-only financial advisors. Fee-only means zero commissions – our advice is always unbiased and in your best interest.

We don’t offer one-time consultations or tax-preparation-only services. Instead, we build long-term partnerships with our clients, helping you make intentional, confident financial decisions throughout every stage of your career and life.

If that sounds like the kind of relationship you’re looking for, you’re in the right place.

The call is held over Zoom, and there’s nothing you need to prepare in advance.

When scheduling, you’ll complete a few short questions so we can tailor the conversation to your needs and goals. Most importantly, this is a relaxed, pressure-free discussion designed to help you determine if we’re the right partner for your financial journey.

Frequently Asked Questions

Your discovery call is a 30-minute Zoom conversation where you can learn what it’s like to work with a fee-only financial planner and see if our approach aligns with your goals. It’s also a chance for us to hear what’s most important to you and answer any questions you may have. Here’s what to expect:

  • Share Your Story – You’ll start by talking about your background and what’s bringing you to financial planning right now. This helps us understand what matters to you most.

  • Discuss Your Goals – Whether you’re focused on retirement, buying a home, or investing more intentionally, this is your chance to outline what you hope to achieve.

  • Review Your Current Situation – You’ll have a high-level conversation about your income, family, and finances. You don’t need to bring any statements or detailed documents just yet.

  • Learn About our Comprehensive Financial Planning Process – You’ll get a clear overview of how our fee-only financial planning process works, what support you can expect, and how fees are structured so there are no surprises.

  • Ask Questions & Explore Fit – You’ll have time to ask anything that helps you feel confident about next steps. If it feels like a good match, you’ll learn exactly what working together would look like from here.

No. We are fiduciary financial planners, which means we never earn commissions or sell products. Our only compensation comes directly from you, so our advice is always in your best interest.

In the first year, your fee includes 4 planning sessions. In subsequent years, you’ll have 3 sessions annually, along with ongoing access to your planner via email for questions as they arise. We’ll also proactively check in when updates are needed, and you can reach out anytime for guidance.

We charge a flat annual fee that covers all financial planning meetings, email support, and ongoing guidance throughout the year. There are no hidden charges.

Our standard agreement is for one year.  After that, most clients choose to continue so we can provide ongoing support over time. You can cancel anytime after one year.

No. Life happens, and part of our role is to help you navigate unexpected changes. If something big occurs, we’ll revisit your plan and make adjustments as needed. That’s included in your retainer - there are no extra fees for updating your plan when life throws a curveball.

AUM stands for “Assets Under Management.” It refers to when a financial advisor manages your investment accounts directly, typically charging a percentage fee (for example, 1% of the assets managed each year). In contrast, our retainer model is flat-fee and advice-based. You don’t have to hand over your accounts unless you want us to manage them.

What to Expect Once You Start Working With Us

Our Financial Planning Process is designed to provide you with clarity, confidence, and a long-term strategy for achieving your goals. You’ll have a dedicated advisor guiding you every step of the way.
