Financial planning fees are billed as an annual advisory fee based on complexity. Individuals typically pay $6,000-$9,600 per year ($500-$800/month). Couples typically pay $6,000-$14,400 per year ($500-$1,200/month). A one-time Initial Planning Fee of $900 (individuals) or $1,500 (couples) is charged when you become a client, separate from your ongoing fee. All fees are disclosed before you commit.
Fees include a written, comprehensive financial plan plus ongoing support and investment advice. You’ll work with a dedicated CFP® advisor, meet regularly (typically every four months), and receive unlimited email support. Estate-planning coordination and budgeting software access is included.
When you first become a client, your CFP® advisor spends significant time getting to know your full financial picture, your investments, income, taxes, insurance, debts, and goals, and building a personalized financial plan and implementation roadmap from scratch. This happens before your ongoing advisory relationship even begins.
The Initial Planning Fee, $900 for individuals and $1,500 for couples, covers that upfront work. It's a one-time fee, charged when you sign on, and you'll never be billed for it again.
